About Us
Young Economist Student’s Meet (YESM) is one of the biggest economics student fests in Eastern India. Ever since the first edition of YESM in 2007, the event has been attended by some of the brightest minds in the field.
Apart from a set of fun, interactive, and challenging competitions that students can participate in, YESM also features a set of illuminating panels - all attended by eminent scholars, academics, and professionals.
The aim of the event is to bring together young students and scholars of students from all over the country - and the world.
We provide a unique platform for students to interact with their peers, professors, and professionals in a collaborative and encouraging environment.
During the event, pertinent economic and social issues relevant to India are discussed, debated, and deliberated upon. Creativity and innovation are the hallmarks of each and every edition of YESM.
- 01 Will YESM 2024 be organised online or offline?
YESM 2024 will be held offline in Jadavpur University Main Campus, Kolkata. (Some events and prelims are going to be conducted in online mode. Check our events page to know more). Dates to be announced soon.
- 02 Who can participate in the events?

- 03 Is YESM confined to students from Kolkata?
Anyone from any region can participate as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
